Santa Barbara Island

Went to Santa Barbara Island the last three days. Got back last night around 9. Santa Barbara was the first Channel Island I went to in 1999. It was time to say hello to the island again. I took some pictures of the trip. About 900 of them, apparently. Lots of hiking. Lots of watching. Lots of enjoying the beauty and wonder of nature on this isolated island about 40 miles off the shore of California.

I’m resting up and back at work soon, so I’m not able to put up a substantive gallery quite yet. Here are a some pics taken directly from the camera. Bit of a representative sample.

Ah, a mystical time will be had. The dolphins lead us to shore.
