Registry

Buy us stuff.

That’s what this page is all about. Good, American Materialism.

Well, that’s a crass way of putting it. And it’s not really that true. You see, Amy and Patrick have been living pretty sparse lifestyles up to now. Patrick has a lot of books, but little else that would help a house become a home, or even help a house not have a whole lot of open floors and empty shelves.

Amy has mostly collected items used and borrowed, almost none of which will be making their way down to California.

And so there’s the reality that as Amy and Patrick come together in holy matrimony they really don’t have very much to bring along with them.

So, there’s this registry–items that can help bring convenience and comfort as the upcoming Odens begin life together. These are items that will help with hosting, help with cooking, help with cleaning, help with recreation, and help with living in general as a new home is set up. Missing on these lists are some traditional items such as china. But, it seems a little unlikely that a theology student and a worship leader will be having formal dinner parties in the foreseeable future, and would need a number of other items much more immediately practical.

Right now we are registered at four different stores, each with a different focus and goal.

Oden Amazon Wedding Registry The first is Amazon.com, where all kinds of items can be bought and sent through the mail for everyone’s convenience. This is where the bulk of our choice items can be found, and where the bulk of our registry shopping has been done so far.

Shop now for Amy and Patrick at their Amazon.com Registry.

Oden Target Wedding RegistryNext, we are registered at Target. Target is a lot like Amazon, only they have not quite as good shopping online, but significantly better shopping offline. There will be some overlap with items at Target and Amazon, with Target having a few larger items, such as a vacuum.Club Wedd registry yet.

Because we are the adventurous types, and hoping to be so together, we have also registered at REI. Oden REI Wedding RegistryIf you’re wanting to help Amy and Patrick enjoy the great outdoors and have a life enjoying the beauty of God’s creation, buy something from the REI gift registry.

This is also the one place where it might be okay to go off the list and get us something you think we might love.

Finally, we have the more traditional registry spot. We decided to register at Macy’s. Oden Macy's Wedding RegistryThis is for our more formal items, such as bedding and glassware and cutlery. And maybe a few other things. Feel free to buy us something from our Macy’s Registry.

I’ll be updating this page and the wedding blog as we develop the registry more. Because of our space issues (we don’t have much) and our particular interests we heartily encourage buying items from these registries. We are also thrilled with gift cards from any of these stores.

Thanks for helping us get our lives together started off right!
